Dr. Lance Davis

While in high school I considered becoming a massage therapist for my career. Once I graduated high school, I still hadn’t made a decision on what I wanted to do as a career. So, instead of going to college I joined the Army. I was sure that I didn’t want to stay in the Army as a career, so I needed to figure out what I wanted to do. I juggled around the idea of becoming a massage therapist or go to school for a bit longer and become a physical therapist. During my last tour in Afghanistan, I experienced a very sharp hip pain that wouldn’t go away. I went to my doctor and they gave me meds. A physical therapist told me to stretch. I even had hip MRI, and no one could give me a definitive answer. At one time, I was asked if they could do exploratory surgery to see what was going on. I vehemently said “NO”. After many visits with no resolution, they told me I was on my own. At that point someone recommended seeing a chiropractor in town. One visit with the Chiropractor and I was feeling 75% better. He was able to answer my questions and his vast knowledge of anatomy astounded me. At that point I figured out what I wanted to do as a career.

I moved from Michigan to Oregon to study at University of Western States and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.

Alejandra Garcia, CA

Alejandra has been with HealthSource since June, 2015 as a Chiropractic Assistant, and the Front Office Manager. She has worked in various healthcare clinics as a Medical Assistant, as well as running the front desk and customer service. Alejandra says that “Every patient has a reason for seeing a chiropractor. When a patient is in a lot of pain, they are not happy. It is our job to ease the pain they are experiencing to help them feel hopeful for a complete recovery”. Outside of the office, Alejandra has a seven year old son who she says is her biggest motivation. He keeps her working hard and continuing to improve herself. She loves that he can learn about chiropractic care at a young age and begin to understand how important it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Kasey Schlatter, CA

Kasey started with HealthSource in February, 2016. She is certified as a Chiropractic Assistant and is the clinics Rehab Specialist. Kasey attended Montana State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While attaining a degree at MSU, Kasey was also apart of the Women’s Volleyball team. Being a Division 1 collegiate athlete, along with her studies, has given her a greater understanding into the rehabilitation process. Kasey says she truly started realizing the importance of staying on top of physical health while playing volleyball. “I had various injuries which required 4 surgeries in the span of 4 years at MSU and had a minimum of 6 weeks rehab per surgery. It really opened my eyes to the importance and necessity of staying on top of my rehab in order to get back to 100%”. She believes chiropractic care is very underrated when it comes to rehab from a sport injury or any significant trauma. She hopes to continue guiding patients through their recovery process so they can get back to the activities that they enjoy the most.

Leah Parsley-Waggerby, L.M.T.

Born and raised in Idaho, I’ve lived in Oregon for 27 years. I’ve truly always loved an active outdoor lifestyle. I know too that the majority of aches and pains are related to relatively minor, and not severe injuries, and have always sought out primary chiropractic care wherever I’ve lived to resolve and rehabilitate my injuries. However, as life goes, I’ve been through a few of the serious injuries that could happen to anyone. I found then that I needed a special kind of chiropractor. One who, like myself, sought to specialize in the complex and challenging.

Now enters Health Source Of Canby, Dr David Dewar and his amazing staff! My adventures have by no means slowed down! In fact they’ve sped up with the acquisition of my amazing husband Darrell. Now both of us are benefiting from the expertise, care, and physical therapy rehab we do here.

For the patients here, I truly love this amazing machine we inhabit: the human body! It is capable of such incredible things, and it cooperates so willingly for such a long long time with just a little attention. My goal is to help you find the key to move freely, comfortably, and with strength! Because you should do what YOU love, and be active! To further this objective I have been working towards an advanced Myofacial Practitioner rating and National Certification.
I seek constantly to further my education and I encourage you to do the same.

Join us to learn how to better use that amazing machine : your wonderful body!
